Spring Bottlin’: Current and Upcomin’ Wine Inventory

spring bottling and labeling station
The spring bottlin’ station in it’s temporary iteration. Tis moveable at this point, so we’re better able to flex the space t’ accommodate the needs of the day.

Current Bottles in th’ Hold

Spring bottlin’ began with the first few finished wines hittin’ the shelves the past few weeks: Fair Winds–a locally raised peach and chardonel (semi-dry) available in 750ml bottles, Pieces o’ Eight–an unoaked version of our chardonel (semi-sweet) available in 750ml bottles, Bleedin’ Hearts–dark red cherries and dark chocolate (sweet) available in 750ml bottles, and Scurvy Dog–best described by a guest as an adventure in his mouth! It’s semi-dry and citrusy with a cayenne kick, also available in 750ml bottles.

Comin’ up in the next week ‘r so will be The Adventure, a raspberry and hibiscus wine aged in a bourbon barrel. It promises to be a classic, but with a very limited release–grab yours as soon as you see it available. We’ll also get around t’ bottlin’ the Sweet Revenge, the 2023 Revenge, and beyond that, St. Elmo’s Fire. Spring bottlin’ will transition into summer bottlin’, as we finish th’ month o’ June.

Later, in July, ye can look forward to some others that we’ll announce as we get closer t’ the end of their aging period. Watch fer all in-stock wines t’ be available for purchase online in the next couple o’ days.

Expandin’ the Potential

Our elderberry plants have taken off, growin’ like gangbusters, and are full o’ bloom and th’ promise of fruit this season. We’ll look forward to at least a small harvest and will decide, once we’ve determined the size of the haul, what we’ll do with ’em. The Chicago Hardy Figs are in the ground and sprouting out, albeit growing from the roots–thanks to some below-zero temps this past winter. We will wait to see if we have any harvest from them this year. Rounding out the planting this spring was a double expansion of the vineyard with two red grape varieties: Marquette and Regent. We look forward to what they will add to our lineup!
